Join us for a day of fun, learning and creativity.  Create our own chants as well as one that resonates with you.  On the day we will cover:

African Drumming : North American Drumming : The beauty of percussion :

Toning the body with sound : Chanting from around the world : Creating a group chant : Creating you own Chant

The workshop is led by Julia Fox and June Meagher.

Julia Fox studied African and other Drumming modalities over the years. Julia studied with African drumming teachers Iya Sako, Sidiki Dembele and Seckou Keita. Julia also studied with Satch Norton and John Paul Deer and with Arthur Hull is an internationally renowned percussionist. He is seen by many as the person who conceived and developed the idea of the facilitated community drum circle. He now travels the world training drum circle facilitators. Julia is passionate about sound and in particular the drum.

June studied with Simon Heather, Sheila Whittaker, Tim Wheater and various other sound masters over the years and is a Director of Sound4Healing, a healing aimed at providing funds for healing research.  June, a healer since childhood, studied with the NFSH (Healing Trust) and sat on their Board of Trustees as well as Regional Committee. She is a Reiki Master & Teacher who currently teaches introductory as well as accredited courses for the British Alliance of Healing Associations. in Energy Channelling including Spiritual Healing and Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Chakra Balancing and Aura Cleansing, Meditation, Tarot and Personal Development in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and Mid-Wales as well as giving talks throughout the UK.  June has a love and passion for chanting sacred chants from across the globe.

Please bring a packed lunch, some indoor shoes and a packed lunch.  Drums are provided as well as other percussion instruments but please do bring your own.
