SARASVATI – INDIA COMES TO SHROPSHIRE
Sunday May 7th 2017 at Lydbury North Village Hall SY7 8AU (Between Craven Arms and Bishops Castle).
Dee Voce and Nawal Gadalla are providing a special evening of Indian Circle Dances in the folk tradition and dances choreographed to Indian music. The dances are not complicated and there will also be some chanting. Expect a rich and deep atmosphere as well as devotional intent, as we celebrate the deities of the Indian pantheon. Sarasvati is the Hindu goddess of culture and the arts.
Times 6 – 9pm – there will be a short break for chai and samosas. Bring anything you feel will contribute to the Indian ambience.
Cost £10 payable in advance please, or £10 on the door. Send your cheque (payable to Dee Voce) to Iris Briscoe at 4, The Field, Field Lane, Bishops Castle SY9 5AG tel 01588 638614. irisbriscoe@phonecoop.coop. Please include your contact details.
