June Meagher helps form Sound4Healing

In the pipeline for over a year and after months of discussions, Sound4Healing was officially launched at the recent College of Sound Healing’s Annual Conference.  Sound4Healing is a Company Limited by Guarantee set up  for Charitable purposes and is about to apply for formal Charity Registration.

Sound4Healing grew out of the work of the College of Sound Healing and June together with fellow directors Keith Oddy and Jonathan Barnett will continue to work alongside them as well as welcoming  contributions from anyone and any organisation interested in exploring how sound  can change our lives for the better.

Sound4Healing really needs your help in raising funds so that we can continue this essential work.  The application for a grant process is fairly simple – our purpose is to fund research projects involving sound healing.

We need help with donations and pledges and any other suggestions for fund raising would be helpful, thank you.

There is a lot of research out there at the moment and we are seeing an more articles relating to the affects sound has on the body and in the healing process.  There has been an increase in research over the past few years.  Sound is being used more in the medical profession to treat illness such as kidney stones and a host of other problems.

Here are some other examples of sound being used:

Sing for Your Life is the incredible journey taken by a unique choir. In this one off documentary 35 cancer patients come together to learn to sing.

Resonance experiment – here is a clip to an amazing experiment involving sound and salt.

Ultrasound Brain Surgery – Surgeon Gabriel Weston witnesses an incredible brain surgery using only focussed beams of ultrasound, performed as part of a clinical trial at the University of  Virginia. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01jkk0l
