Healing & Koshi Windchime talk in Shrewsbury this Monday
June Meagher has spent the last year practicing and putting together a healing meditation consisting of gentle breathing and relaxation exercises followed by a performance of the Koshi Windchimes. June recorded these beautiful instruments in August, 2014 and she will perform them at The Beaten Track, Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury in September.
During this evening you will be asked to sense your own and another’s aura before and after the performance. We will discuss the importance of positive sound on the body as well as the negative aspects of sound on the body. You will be asked to note the sounds that surround you at home, at work, in your environment, usually not what you think you hear at all.
The four
Windchimes represent the four elements, air, fire, water and earth and have been described as magical and heavenly. They gently allow you to listen and take you on your own inner journey giving you the time and space needed to bring about peace, relaxation and healing.
The Koshi chime is an authentic musical instrument, an original creation of high quality. Hand made in our workshop at the foot of the Pyrenean mountains, each chime is the result of meticulous craftsmanship.
Eight chords are welded with silver into the metal plate at the base of the resonance tube. Precise tuning creates a play of clear tones that is rich in overtones. The overtones of the shorter chords gradually dominate and become fundamentals, thus forming a circular tone range.
They are musical instruments and, as such, have sound healing qualities which gently fill the aura with heavenly sounds that are random therefore each performance is unique and different.
The event will be held at the Beaten Track, Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury SY3 7ET for the Mind & Soul Group and there will be a small charge of £3.50 It will start at 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. The talk will begin at 7.30 pm
