gallery image Faerie Festival – An August Bank Holiday Monday (25th) family day out in the lovely Victorian setting of MAWS Craft Village in Jackfield on the banks of the river Severn set near the historic heritage landmark town of Ironbridge in Shropshire. Come and celebrate our Fey folk, feel their magical presence as we enjoy performers, music, vegetarian refreshments, holistic therapies, spiritual enlightenment, lots of fabulous stalls and perhaps if you are lucky you may spot a faerie, goblin, elf or other magical folk as you wander round in this truly wonderful setting.

Women who used estrogen-only hormone therapy later in life were less likely to develop dementia and showed fewer signs of Alzheimer’s disease in their brains, according to a large study of more than 21,000 participants. Hormone therapy use was linked to 39% lower odds of a dementia diagnosis and 35% lower odds of Alzheimer’s-related brain changes at autopsy, including amyloid plaques and tau tangles. Biomarker tests also suggested less amyloid buildup among hormone therapy users.
