Yin, Kirtan & Cacao in Shrewsbury

Bridgnorth Yoga Studio are are truly humbled to confirm that the incredible Jonne Bodhi is joining us for an live acoustic evening of Kirtan and soulful vibes, Yin Yoga & Cacao.
Wednesday 1st September
UGC,  32/34 Castle Street, Shrewsbury, Sy1 2Bq ✨
We will commence our ceremonial circle with a gentle floor based yin practice cleansing through the Nadis.
In Yin we find our edge, holding the asana (posture ) for between 3 & 5 minutes.
Our edge is the space between pleasure and discomfort, working deep into the connective tissues releasing toxins that no longer serves the soul, cleansing .
letting go of all muscular contraction, applying moderate stress to the deep layers of tendons & ligaments.
Rejuvenating and improving mobility & health of joints.
Jonne will play soulful acoustic music whilst we surrender.
Together, we will drink our sacred ceremonial cacao.
Cacao the “Food of the Gods” was an intrinsic part of Mayan & Aztec life.
Used in spiritual ceremonies with a belief that a power & wisdom came from eating the fruits of the cacao tree.

The release of endorphins & pleasure like neurochemicals are triggered by Phenethylamine (mood enhancing compound.
Cacao creates a gentle but powerful & beautiful natural expansion of heart-centred consciousness.
a wonderful opportunity to connect within.
Jonne will then lead the Kirtan circle.
Medicine for the soul.
Kirtan is a coming together of a community of people, whom chant devotion & love, sending healing as we raise the vibration of the universal consciousness.
Allowing expression and emotion to flow, with the intention of sound and connection.
Music brings people together, brings our spirit to life.
“The response that comes from chanting is in the form of bliss, or spiritual happiness, which is a much higher taste than any happiness found here in the material world”,
George Harrison said in an interview with Mukunda Goswami in 1982.
“That’s why I say that the more you do it, the more you don’t want to stop, because it feels so nice and peaceful”.
Feel free to bring along your instruments 🪘.
We cannot wait to welcome you for this very special evening 💚💚💚
