This weekly class will give you an opportunity to come and practice and share some core elements of Chi Kung (Energy Exercise) and also explore the dynamics of energy relationships between two people in Push Hands (Sticky Hands, Spinning Hands) exercises.

These practices can be used to develop and strengthen body, mind and spirit through the elements of movement, focus and energy exchange. It is a suitable practice for all ages and types of people and is a key factor in the Myofascial Dao Yin: Integral Life Practice concept practiced by Centre Founder Ben Calder.

Ben has been involved in many of these practices for over 20yrs and studied and explored this area of practice from the medical/health side to the martial side and will be aiming to strike a balance somewhere in the middle of these, with the main emphasis being on the health practice side. There is now considerable evidence building up to show that Chi Kung and Tai Chi practices have significant health benefits in a number of areas of disease prevention and recovery.

The Push Hands practice becomes an essential part of assessing how our individual practice is developing and is there to inform us on how our grounding and centring practice is growing and how it is affected by the energy and behaviour of other while highlighting what areas we can still develop with.

Amongst others Ben is a student of Grandmaster Jimmy Heow who teaches Wuji I Liq Chuan in Kuala Lumpur and had approved Ben to offer this practice class.

The class will run from 7.30-8.30 most weeks. Entry is open to all levels of experience and is FREE, but all donations are gratefully accepted towards room rental and development projects for the Centre and to sustain the continuation of group.
